This watch pays homage to Seiko's first automatic wristwatch, launched in 1967. This timepiece, named 62GS, adheres to Taro Tanaka's "design grammar," characterized by its 36.5mm diameter, angular case, Zaratsu-polished flat dial, striking multifaceted lugs, crown at 4 o'clock, applied hour markers, and sword-shaped hands. Its sole distinguishing feature is the absence of a bezel. This bezel-less design allows the crystal to fit directly against the case, resulting in a wide dial view. Re-released in 2015 as part of Seiko's Heritage collection, it officially became part of the Heritage series in 2019.
